How to choose
- Start with how you sell. Mostly online through Instagram and WhatsApp? Favour an app with a strong online store. Mostly in a shop? Favour fast checkout and receipts.
- Check your network. If cuts are frequent where you sell, offline mode matters more than any other feature.
- Count your people and places. Staff accounts and branch reports are what stop stock and cash going missing as you grow.
- Do you sell on credit? If customers pay later, debt tracking saves you money every month.
- Price it for a year. Compare annual plans, and check what the free plan leaves out.
- Try before you pay. Use the free plan or trial for a real week of sales before deciding.

Questions
What is the best inventory app for a small business in Nigeria?
It depends on how you sell. If most sales come through Instagram and WhatsApp, pick an app built around an online store. If power and network cuts are frequent, pick one that works offline. If you sell on credit, have staff or run more than one shop, pick one that tracks debts, staff and branches together, such as Invoicer.
Is there a free inventory and POS app in Nigeria?
Several apps in this list have a free plan or a free trial; the table shows which. Free plans usually limit products, staff or branches, so check the limits against your business before you commit. Prices were checked on 8 October 2026.
Do I need a POS machine to use these apps?
No. All of the apps here run on a phone, and some also run in a web browser. A Bluetooth receipt printer or a barcode scanner is optional.
Which apps work offline in Nigeria?
Check the 'Works offline' column. An app that keeps working during network cuts and syncs later matters most for busy shops in areas with poor coverage. Invoicer currently needs an internet connection.
Is Kippa still available?
We couldn't find it. When we checked on 8 October 2026, Kippa's website no longer loaded and its bookkeeping app was not in the App Store, so it isn't included here.
